Our Story

How One Opportunity Sparked Thousands More

Before its official establishment in 2021, ToRead first began as a grassroots initiative in 2017. At that time, our founder, Hany Anan, was still a student whose life had been transformed by a scholarship opportunity.

Inspired by this life-changing experience, and driven by the belief that every young person deserves similar access to opportunities, Hany started guiding other youth through scholarship applications. In addition, he began connecting them to educational and personal development programs.

Over time, what started as a personal initiative gradually evolved into a community movement. As a result, it empowered and supported more than 4,000 youth within just a few years.

Finally, in 2021, ToRead was formally established in Lebanon. Since then, its mission has been to scale and sustain the impact created over the years—ensuring that every young person has the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.
