ToRead has successfully concluded its intensive “Business Leadership for Community Resilience” training program, marking a significant milestone for the local economy in the Tripoli and Al Fayhaa region.
Over a four-week period, 20 dedicated business owners participated in a series of strategic workshops designed to transform how small and medium enterprises (SMEs) operate within volatile environments. This initiative was implemented by ToRead in partnership with the Safadi Foundation, as a key component of the Tarabut Project funded by the European Union.
Strategic Growth and Social Impact
Throughout the program, participants were introduced to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), exploring why these global targets matter for local businesses and how to design initiatives that align with them to create a lasting social impact. The curriculum also placed a heavy emphasis on fostering collaborations and partnerships, encouraging business owners to work together to scale their operations and grow their market reach.
Mentorship and Financial Support
By the end of the program, each business received personalized one-on-one coaching. These sessions focused on:
- Developing a social initiative tailored to their specific business model.
- Mastering grant proposal writing and budget management.
These skills were immediately put to the test, as 10 participating businesses now have the opportunity to receive a grant of up to 5,000 Euro to bring their initiatives to life.
A Commitment to the Community
ToRead continues to be an active pillar of the community, leveraging its expertise in planning and implementing training programs that empower both youth and businesses. By providing the tools necessary to create daily impact, ToRead remains dedicated to building a more resilient and prosperous future for the region.
