On August 1 and August 2, ToRead, in partnership with INJAZ Lebanon, successfully implemented a two-day Job Readiness Bootcamp as part of the ongoing Ready 4 Work Program. The event brought together 105 youth from diverse backgrounds, all eager to sharpen their employability skills and prepare for the transition into the job market.
The bootcamp was carefully designed to provide participants with both practical knowledge and hands-on experience. Over the course of two days, youth engaged in sessions covering:
- Career planning and self-discovery
- Writing professional CVs and cover letters
- Practicing through mock interviews with constructive feedback
Following the intensive bootcamp, participants also benefited from one-on-one coaching and mentorship. These sessions supported youth in drafting strong, tailored CVs and gaining the confidence needed to effectively pursue opportunities in the job market.
One of the most impactful outcomes of the program was the selection of 12 exceptional participants to join one-month paid internships. These internships are being hosted at ToRead as well as three valued partners: EduBolt, Jar Thuraya, and YY-Regen. This real-world exposure will allow youth to apply what they’ve learned, gain valuable workplace experience, and take their first steps toward meaningful career paths.
Through initiatives like this, ToRead reaffirms its commitment to building the next generation of impactful leaders in Lebanon and the region. By combining skills development, mentorship, and career opportunities, ToRead continues to bridge the gap between education and employment—empowering youth with the tools and experiences they need to thrive in their professional and personal lives.
