As ToRead celebrates its 5th anniversary in 2026, we are looking back at the incredible journeys of our community through our special ‘Where Are They Now’ campaign. Today, we are proud to spotlight Eyad Halawy, a dedicated ToRead alumnus since 2024, to share how his path has unfolded over the years.

Who is Eyad Halawy?

Eyad Halawy is a 21-year-old Lebanese entrepreneur with an academic background in university studies and community development. In 2024, he joined ToRead through its youth empowerment and leadership programs, where he sharpened his skills in innovation, critical thinking, and social impact.

The Success Story

Eyad narrates his journey, saying: Since I engaged with ToRead, I have focused on turning community challenges into opportunities for sustainable change. I went on to become the founder of Eco Bridge, a sustainability-focused innovation and coworking space in the Chouf region. I designed this space to support youth and entrepreneurs by integrating green practices, such as recycled material 3D printing, and providing a platform for local small businesses to thrive.

In parallel with my entrepreneurial work, I have remained deeply involved in civic engagement as an active volunteer with the Lebanese Red Cross Youth Sector, where I served in leadership and facilitation roles. Through these initiatives, I have been able to directly influence dozens of young people, promoting environmental awareness and social responsibility. For me, true success is proving that when we align our purpose with action, we can create a lasting environmental and economic impact within our community.

Recommendation

Based on his journey, Eyad encourages young people to invest in learning spaces that challenge them to think beyond themselves. He believes that real growth starts the moment purpose meets action.

Eyad Halawy is one of the thousands of youth that ToRead has worked with over the years. We are proud to shine a light on their success. ToRead continues to support the youth in Lebanon and the region through innovation, technology, and Entrepreneurship.
