As ToRead celebrates its 5th anniversary in 2026, we are looking back at the incredible journeys of our community through our special ‘Where Are They Now’ campaign. Today, we are proud to spotlight Ibrahim Mohamad, a dedicated ToRead alumnus since 2021, to share how his path has unfolded over the years.
Who is Ibrahim Mohamad?
Ibrahim Mohamad is a 22-year-old senior nursing student and the founder of theFEKRA Project who holds a strong interest in healthcare, research, and innovation. An author with additional certifications in AI and digital marketing, he has significantly expanded his professional skillset through his engagement with various developmental initiatives.
His experience with ToRead includes successfully participating in three programs: the Introduction to Scientific Research Program in 2021, the Refugee-prenership Program in 2023, and the Ready4Work Program in 2025.
The Success Story
Ibrahim narrates his story: my success is rooted in my founding of FEKRA in 2021, an educational and youth-empowerment initiative that I have grown into a large-scale project impacting over 5,000 students across Lebanon and beyond. As the leader of this initiative, I have coordinated more than 20 educational and advocacy programs, including SAT preparation, university application support, Python and Java programming courses, and career guidance covering 19+ majors. I also established six active clubs—specializing in research, psychology, and programming—supported by a network of over 250 volunteers, all reflecting my commitment to creating life-changing educational opportunities.
In parallel with my leadership at FEKRA, I participated in a competitive Entrepreneurship Program with ToRead, the Palestinian Students Fund, and Al Taawon, funded by Danish Muslim Aid. There, I pitched my project among eight competitors to secure its long-term sustainability. Under my direction, FEKRA secured donor support that enabled us to cover SAT exam fees for 30 students and connect high-achieving students to prestigious scholarships at institutions such as the American University of Beirut, the American University in Cairo, and New York University Abu Dhabi. Beyond my work with the project, I am a published author with 125+ copies sold of my book, 30 Echoes of Me. I also serve as a Social Ambassador for ANERA and a Project Facilitator with the Palestinian Humanitarian Organization (PWHO) in collaboration with IFES—roles through which I continue to bridge education and advocacy to drive meaningful social change.
Recommendation
Based on his journey with FEKRA, Ibrahim encourages youth to start with their available resources and dream fearlessly, turning every challenge into a bridge for growth. He urges them to lead with purpose, ensuring that their small actions today ripple into a lasting community impact.
Ibrahim Mohamad is one of the thousands of youth that ToRead has worked with over the years. We are proud to shine a light on their success. ToRead continues to support the youth in Lebanon and the region through innovation, technology, and Entrepreneurship.
